I opened the mailbox today to find Normark's (On/Scene Tactical) sheath for the Fallkniven F1. It's another kydex masterpiece-- feels like part of my hip! I dropped it in my pocket while walking outside to take the photos and the smooth edges make it comfortable to carry that way. I just need to get another Firesteel to fill it out :) I can't imagine going in the woods without it now.

I think I've heard of this Normark fellow,:D

I'm just waiting to get a knife worthy of one of his sheaths.

Unfortunately I deleted the link to the new sheathes. But they are very similar to the bark river sheathes with firesteel loop.

Not bad for leather. The F1 leather sheath is perfectly well made, but bulkier-- and right handed. The On/Scene sheaths simply need to have the belt loop switched to the other side-- two screws and the job is done. They are lighter, ride close, and are thinner, not to mention waterproof.

As to adding pouches to sheaths, I tried several combinations and they hang out where they catch on brush, etc. I would rather just wear the pouch on my belt along with the knife. You can use a longer horizontal pouch and carry more gear with less hamper.

I just ordered my first sheath from Normark...I PM'd him so often before ordering, I bet he can't wait to get it out of his shop...:D
I ordered the Bushman and Firesteel loop combo. Can't wait.
I have 5 JRE sheaths, you can't beat the quality for the price in leather. I was just looking on the link, and figure I need a few more. One of those drop leg combo sheaths for my Aurora would be nice. Gene

I just received my sheath yesterday. I had him make one for a Mora 780. Made a $11 knife seem like a $100 knife. Outstanding job!!:D

I have been thinking about a F1 for sometime now. Seeing a pic of one in that sheath makes me want one more. Almost bought one a couple of weeks ago, but I got a Scrap Yard SS4 instead. Maybe next time.

Eric has offered to make my son one for his Mora for free....how kind is that....only problem now is that my son won't shut up about it, he is driving me mad !!!!:D

Thanks to this thread, I ordered and received an F1, and have contacted Eric about making a left hand sheath. I'm right handed, but prefer left side carry.

I guess I am susceptible to peer pressure.

cheers

I got the Firesteel for my rig in the mail yesterday. I have a water-resistant zippered belt pouch made by Outdoor Research that I'm going to rig on a belt with the F1. That will allow me to throw the whole rig in my pack or wear it while walking without a pack. As with pistol belt, my pants will stay up :)

It'll be a good match to have an F1 and JRE sheath. I am having them make some for me right now as well.
