F150 owners -v6 enough?

My V6 F150 now has 5,600 miles. We don't drive it every day. It has been sitting in the driveway for 3-4 days.

Today when I started it there was a puff of white smoke....... WTF? I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.......

LOL.

I haven't driven a new V6 F150 but I did drive a new rental that had the V8. Very impressive acceleration, highway power, and smooth shifting. Sooo smooth.

Sad to say I was disappointed and unimpressed with the most recent rental, a new Nissan Titan with a V8. :thumbdn:

Glad you like your V6 Ford, and it did you well on your trip.

Go vintage w/ a 300CID inline six. America never made a bad inline six.

I've driven those of early-90s vintage. Good torque for towing and working around the farm, but underpowered for highway travel. No upper-end acceleration. The new V6 have way more power, but might not be as durable for towing.

Besides, the OP already bought a truck. ;)
