I saw this blade and could only think two things....

1)I am in love.... (and I can't afford it.....)

and... My question:

2)Is the knife a "one piece" (full tang) design? How is the handle attached to this knife / or how is the blade attached to the hilt? To be specific, how many parts are involved in such a fabrication?

I am referring to the "Grizzly". Pictured in the link below.

Thanks for the help.

Seems to me that this beauty is a hidden tang piece, if I'm not mistaken. The handle appears to be constructed with a steel or nickel silver hilt, subhilt, and pommel; 2 pieces of hardwood; and 4 brass spacers ( all seperate pieces). The hilt is soldered to the blade, and the other components are probably fitted over a long tang of mild steel threaded or otherwise secured into the pommel- otherwise, the tang is most likely held in the handle with epoxy and perhaps a few pins. Looks like a very nice knife- I love the blade/ handle angle.

If you like Mr. Luckett's work, check out Rod Chappel's Diana and any of his hunting/fighting bowies. He's still the man.
