Jerry? help? can any of the knot ninjas at your house give a quick reference to what kind of braid that is? or a few pics posted to help out those of us who ride the short bus?
pleeeeease :D :D
I don't think Jerry does those any more but, check with Seth Murdock he might be able to help you out.

bravado is lucky to have one of the good ones, not many factory ones left. i also have tried to weave a good one and all i got was a dwi :(

oh, by the way, he's a PIG!

Hi,
I didn't do the D-Guard on the one I had(I wouldn't even attempt it myself). My daughters friend did the braid. There where some instructions posted here about 2 years ago.She did a pretty good job, there was one spot where tone knot was kind of off though.Maybe Rob can chime in on how it came out.The knife was a E-Battle Mistress, brown scales and black crinkle finish blade.
Do a search here,Busse home site, and Swamp site.

Yep, I remember that knife, but it's gone and I don't have a clue who bought it. I got into a Straight handle frenzy and the ergos went to feed it. LOL

BUT !!! I do have a web site that can help. www.ubraidit.com

Books, supplies and whatnot. Should be able to duplicate the factory D guard no prob. HTH

Also, it may be in the Ashley Book of Knots. May be worth hittin' up the local library and seein' if they have a copy. If so, just use a xerox. If not, I'll check tonight to see if it's in there.

Okay... I made a solomon bar and will post pics later on. That IS NOT a solomon bar. Jerry, what is that knot called?

I posted a tutorial quite a while back...maybe it's on bad mojo?

Anyway, although it would take me a while to remember exactly how, it's not all that difficult and it works remarkably well. And, of course, it looks bad$$ too

hmmm.. I have 2 scouts in my house that need knot work. and I know just where they need to start :) ;)

Okay... The $20 question of the day is: What is the knot/braid specifically called AND where can instructions on this be found/located?

This is driving me up the wall and my deposit will be with held due to tire marks

Anyone, Anyone???

My wife does a real nice job on the Dguard braid. If someone wants a pic I'll send one to them but I can't post. I'll ask her if she can describe how.
Peace

those are nice, kaak. i can do the 4-lay, like mercop makes into mercleashes, and i used to do a snake belly, that looks a bit like that factory one.
it might be in the bluejacket's manual.

yes, yes, very nice  i can braid a melaleuca but it is hell on your lungs and fingers. helps if you wear gloves. :)
