Factory edge on PM2 is lopsided

There's one thing to think about, just because you send it in for resharpening, doesn't mean it won't come back the same way. I know that happened when I sent in my Techno. The tip came back looking like a chisel grind.

I was told once, uneveness like this is due to the person who ground the edge being right handed. Not sure if it was true. I do know that some custom makers can't get it much better and some get it much worse. My friend just got a Marfione custom Halo, and it's edge is perfectly symetrical and the tip is perfectly needle sharp, but then he's no ordinary knife grinder.

Per "I feel like I took a hit on my investment because I have to disclose this issue if I ever sell the knife even if I sent it in to Spyderco to fix it." First, it's not a defect, just a fact of a hand sharpened blade. If you want them perfect, they can't be made by humans, unless it's Marfione :) If you send it in for Spyderco sharpening, a factory edge is often a selling point. Second, some advice, don't invest in knives or any collectible, too volatile a market.

For the record, I did end up taking care of this myself last night
220 did the trick, didn't take too long.

Tried to take an updated pic, but my phone sucks at focusing close up.

But yeah, turns out making a special trip to the UPS store is a bigger hassle than busting out the old EPA, so I just followed the path of least resistance :p
