I've had this one for some time. Does anyone know if this is a factory job or an after market? The label on the box says "B110-SP78-0" and is dated 04-21-05. The blade is stamped with an upside down T and it came with a distressed brown leather sheath.

The last closeup is the only one where the purple color is really seen like it is.

I like the handles... What are they??? :D ....

Don't know. They are purple with some white in them. I don't know if they are a natural material or a synthetic. They look like some of the stuff I've seen that was called "spiney oyster" or something like that.

Looks like one from the Navajoprincess2b on the bay. If that's the case, it would be a Brian Yellowhorse job.

The handle material looks just like the "spiney oyster" that Case has used in a bunch of their knives.

Plum,

I see a glue line on that bottom picture. I would expect better from the Yellowhorses...just sayin.

Look in a March 2006 BCCI newsletter, it shows the Special Project list for 2005. Your box w/ label "B110-SP78-0" , was actually for the 110/112 Trapper that was made for SMKW. Your 110 appears to be an aftermarket in the wrong box.

Thanks Scott,
I never paid much attention to this one. I got it in a package deal along with a brown jigged bone 110 and a black micarta 110 marked #32 of 50 on a mirror polished blade and coa. I wouldn't have gone with the purple one if it had been a stand alone deal.

I believe that the ebay seller Navajoprincess2b (Elena) is the wife of Brian Yellowhorse. She did have a very active reputable store.

I believe I've seen that color and design numerous times on the bay as well as design with different colors-always figgered them to be aftermarket myself. Some appealed to me others didnt.
