FACTORY SALE

More incredible knives. I would be overwhelmed in that store. And then in debt. :D

Great choices. You did well.

05 of 250 547 and a Brown Trout 110. Stone, diamond sharpener and some Buck micro fiber cloths.
I'm impressed with the 547. Beautiful knife, brown cerakote, brown micarta thumb disc, flip tab, s35vn steel and pocket clip plus sheath.

Super jealous of that whitetail 110 and the 101. Those are NICE! I'm not big on etching or writings on blades but I love to hunt and that one would be a shelf queen. Great picks to all that have posted.

Tuesday at the factory sale--imagine that 1st in line again!!!!:D:):D:thumbsup:
today they had ebay bucks---10 bucks for every 100 spent so I got a pile---spend in store in January.

I'm curious exactly how does the process work? You stand in line outdoors in whatever weather for a few hours before they open for business? Then they let everybody in the store or only 50 or so at a time, then let additional people in as the first shoppers leave? Once inside do you grab a basket or cart to hold your purchases until you're done shopping? Also I would imagine that the more expensive or limited edition items are kept in locked glass displays and you need a sales associate to assist you when looking at them? So do you just grab a sales person and have them help you until you are done shopping? Having been in the store before do you have a strategy to your shopping, check out the top end stuff first then the more standard items afterwards?

At the 30th if you got there before opening time you waited outside till the factory opened, then you waited inside lobby in line till the store opened.
The store is not very large. They have new stuff set out on a couple tables and you better look quick.
Then they have the typical glass cabinets with standard inventory, and some free standing displays which you take note of what you want and they pull it off a shelf.

Some really great scores.
You guys made me want a new Buck knife, so I went ahead and finally pulled the trigger on the black 524 alumni I've been wanting.

YEP GET THERE at 7 am --stand outside in the wind rain and snow till they open doors at 8am--then ya line up in the lobby till bout 935 when they let ya into the sale---hey if ya from this area the weather aint nothing-
it is different than the 30th was---at the 30 it was all in the store---the factory sale they set up in store and lunch room---tables are set up on the outside and filled with knives and employees behind them----I go for the custom expensive knives 1st---limit is 5 of those --then I go back in store to standard stuff that everyone can buy hundreds of---I like the 1 of a kinds to sell...then back and forth till I get a big pile---
ya gotta check everything out---everyday they add different items to the sale--tomorrow will be different--I am passing on Wednesday...
actually its the standard items that are in the countertop cases---le's are just out on the table---enough eyes are on stuff to watch it...any thief there if caught would probably get smashed or slashed....

Thanks for answering my questions. So only 5 fancy knives per visit or can you get in line and reenter and buy 5 more? You mention "back and forth till you get a big pile---"? Does this mean from standard to fancy high end area and back again?

if you are dishonest you can reenter and buy more probably--then ya may get cut off next time--who knows what they might say---I don't know cuz I have never tried----I don't do that----yes I just keep going to all the tables and see if there is something I may have missed...
and if ya get back in line to try on the 1st day you would wait over 2 hours to get back in...

I wasn't suggesting any kind of trickery. I guess I wasn't sure what you meant when you said back and forth until you had a big pile. I thought that this might possibly mean that you could reenter the fancy high end section after waiting again and giving other shoppers a chance at those items.

Again, thanks for your time to answer some questions.
