Factory Second GSO 5.1

Just got the shipping notification. As long as USPS does their job, (about a 50/50 proposition around these parts) I should have my knife in a couple days!

Ok happy for you, but there a bunch of us that bought a week earlier and nothing... Seems wrong to me! Now ill get flamed!

I bet there is a bunch getting shipped, just takes time to get the shipping info inputted and get labels and tracking numbers generated. I bought a 5.1 2nd in 3V black linen on March 7 and got a shipping notification just a bit ago.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I don't want to delay the shipment of anyone's knife.

To their credit, they did say they would try to accommodate and get my knife out before my trip, and they have succeeded. Part of my worry was I didn't want it to ship after I left and have it sit on the front porch for a week or so. I'm very grateful I'll be able to use it for my trip and won't have to worry about it being stolen while I'm gone.

I hope I have not caused anyone else's knife to be delayed long term.

Come on, man. Nobody here is going to go out of their way to be a jerk, but we're trying to keep this a positive place. I noticed the same kind of baiting in the Facebook group. The tone over there lately has really been a turn off. I'm not saying I totally understand the order that things get sent out or that it should be fun to wait for a product, but I trust there is a reason on their end. I really hope you get that shipping notice soon and that you feel the knife was worth the wait. I know mine have been.

Agreed. My earlier joke aside, I understand waiting for a delayed product delivery sucks. However, I think this forum would get tiresome rather quickly if inundated with complaints about delivery times. if you have a specific complaint, you'll probably be better served sending it directly to Survive.

I just received a knife from a "claimed" hand made knife company and the tip was bent over and dull. I could not believe that a knife would ship from a shop with a broken tip. My point is the shipping times might be a problem for some, but I for one appreciate the fact that these knives come ready to go. I trust that when I open my package the knife is ready to rock. My guess is Guy feels a ton a pressure to get these shipped; however, he is not willing to compromise quality just to ship an inferior product.
 
I am still waiting on a shipping notice for the factory second 5.1 in 3V I bought on March 7th. Should be soon though judging by the other posts. I have this fantasy that they will just ship this together with my 2.7 starter order soon...

Sorry to hear this Vern, hope they fix it well for you! I hear what you are saying about Guy, again my point wasn't the wait times... It was later orders getting shipped out first! Its all good, im over it! I don't have a trip plannd like nosf and I'm honestly happy it worked out for him! Again all is good in the S!k hood:)
 
This was more of a "in general" post about survive knives. I didn't mean for this to be directed at you. I completely understand your thoughts on knives going out in order. I hope you get your knife soon!

People that are waiting might need to know that the crew at Survive might be waiting on more sheaths or more handle scales. Ellie has mentioned this in the past so it might still be the issue.
Complaining about a few week wait or a few month wait?? Child please. There are a bunch of diehard Survive fans that have been patiently waiting longer than that and we rarely hear a peep out of them. We all know that we're getting a knife/knives that will blow everything out of the water.

If I offend people by my post, so be it. I wasn't singling any out any person in particular. It was a (just so you know) post that was meant to inform any and all complainers that there may be a reason why their shipment hasn't shipped yet.
