As for the factory, a valid EDC would not have a true functional issue and the factory would have no trouble correcting it.
A bit confusing. You first say that a valid EDC would not have a true functional issue, then say the factory would have no trouble correcting it. What would they be correcting if it had no functional issue?
Not trying to be combative - just wondering if you had a typo, etc.?


I am pretty certain that GEC would correct something like a broken backspring at no cost to the user. Short of something similar to that, it would most likely be something caused by the user and warranty should not be expected. To be clear, in all my years of knife buying, I have never had to send a knife in for warranty work. To me, non-centered blades, blade rubbing, etc., are cosmetic.
I can count on one hand the number of knives that I have even exchanged. I accept the little faults.
Warranty on pocket knives has never been much of a concern to me. Now a car, that is a different matter.
