Fair trade?

Hi all!

a bit new to the rat knives... I am wondering, I have a CRKT large plain blade Ultima brand new. If I were to try to trade for a rat-5, would this be a fair deal for both parties?

RAT 5 or RC-5?

The Ultima sells for ~$70 (give or take) on NGK and Knifeworks. If you were receiving a RC-5 or RAT 5 you'd be getting a better deal. I can't speak to Ontario knives from experience, but they most likely are better quality than most (if not all) CRKT's. If you're getting an RC-5 for the CRKT, there's no question, go for it! :thumbup:

~$70 for CRKT Ultima
~$90 for RAT 5
~$140 for RC-5

Make sure that you're getting RAT Cutlery knives and not Ontario RAT knives. The quality on RAT Cutlery knives is far better.

hmm... I would want the rat brand, not ontario. I guess as far as retail price goes it wouldn't be fair.

Also is there a for sale section for rat knives only? I couldn't find one

Nope, but there's a production knife section. Be sure to read the forum specific rules though, I think you can buy but not sell unless you upgrade your account.
