Anyone know a source for knurled handles for a Fairbairn Sykes commando knife out there somewhere? Might try one in wood or micarta if I can find a source. Thanks everyone.

Might have to have it custom turned. Pretty simple handle for someone who is set up for it.

However, very few people will be setup to do that.
This is a WW2 brass handle with knurling

It was likely done on a semi auto lathe with hydraulic taper tracing.

It couldn't be done on a simple manual lathe - to follow the workpiece with the knurling tool

You would have to find a cnc lathe to do this.
Try to find a hobbyist, otherwize programing and set up fees will be high.

That's just the outside
Look at the rectangular hole inside, with a round hole at the nut end.
It's probably cast and finished broached.
.
Probably a custom sized broach.

I got echo the Count on this one. But, you could go with the FS handle type with spaced turned grooves rather than knurling, then a manual lathe would work fine.
