This Fairbairn Sykes dagger and sheath is in very excellent condition. The blade edge and finish show no sign of use. The sheath retaining elastic needs to be replaced.
This Fairbairn is in excellent condition for it's age. It does have some minor surface rust on the handle and the odd
slight abrasion/scratch from simple handling over the years. Keep in mind it is approaching 70 years of age.
There were several versions made, many from England at the beginning of the War, and I believe later in the War, Canada manufactured the Fairbairn Sykes to help with the War effort. This knife is stamped B2 ENGLAND.
