Sup guys! D I finally logged into that Facebook thing last night. I forget about it often! I saw you there but figured you were busy :)

Thank god it's Friday! Ash and I finally beat Mario World! Hopefully find Yoshis Island this weekend. It's quality time together that I can live with!

Did a little shop work last night. Man, kydex gets dirty!

D I need something new and sharp! :D

Nice on the Super Mario World!!! I haven't had a chance to play much yet but it is too fun!

lol on the dirty Kydex, I'm washing sheaths today. :D I made 15 Backpacker sheaths and realized I need 16 but hey I'm close! I'm down to the last Backpacker for a while...

Sharps... I have a new one ready to sharpen today, it has a cool scalloped spine and nasty profile. Heat Colored Titanium
 
I finally dig up my old memory card reader! ...when I install it the computer makes a sound like the drive was noticed but then nothing happens... maybe it is my memory card? i can't find any extra drives popping up in "my computer" either
 
Not sure what it is. If it's USB, mebbe the port is a dud? We talking one of those external SD card readers? My wife has one and they're touchy!

I have a port for the card itself but I got a message that is was going bad... did what microsoft/my computer said to do to no avail so maybe it is toasted. After that I found an old USB external card readers but it does not seem to be fully recognized... even tried restarting so I assume my machine isn't recognizing the USB reader itself. Sara just pointed out that I should try the shop computer... duh! :D

I doubt that made sense, I need more coffee.

Or maybe bad card...

lmao good call! I might have one somewhere... my first card was one of those that uploads through the wi-fi and it exploded when I tried to remove it!
 
Kaboom! I bet all that steel and Ti dust is wrecking your electronics! Better ship all that stuff to me for safekeeping.

Daniel, didn't I send you a card with all the other photo gear? Or is that the one that gave up its ghost? Lexar cards are good ones, better to buy several smaller cards than one giant one. It's a pain going through 128G of photos, and if it craps out you lose lots. I would say either 8 or 16 gig should be fine, if you never shoot raw (.nef format) even a 4G card will be plenty.

Just got home from spending the morning with the little lady. Breakfast, hit up several thrift stores, now home to relax a bit before the little terror gets out of school.

I wonder if Kevin is awake yet. Maybe I'll call him and see :D. If he wasnt, he will be very soon!

I kept getting blocked by adblocker last night when I tried to respond, anyone else going through this? I thought it was my lapsed membership but noticed there is a thread here about it.

It's my computer I found out (on the memory card), a driver I think.

The card I mentioned that blew up actually delaminated, I guess it was not meant to be used often. lol it was too slow uploading the pics with wifi so I'd do it manually.

Xander that is the card you gave me, it is going strong and thanks again!
 
Haven't had any issues logging in, but I don't use Ad blocker, paid membership blocks them anyways.

I'd suggest picking up a few smaller cards for cheap, any old brand. Just if you shoot video use the one fast card. I've used Transcend, Sandisk, Lexar, and a few other off brands and have little issue. Do some searching around the web, I've seen 4G SD cards go for like $10 and less. Write speed isn't that fast, but if you're not shooting sports and running burst fire, it doesn't matter.

Yes. Happens to me just about every night for an hour or so. It seems it is a known issue with their servers, not with us.

In other news, that Petty you made is just awesome. I love it, but even better, my wife does to. It seems just the right proportions for the way she cuts, and I find it out on the cutting board in use just about every night. Nice work.

Side note - I don't have a single kitchen knife that cuts as cleanly as yours does, and I've got some decent ones to compare against. Hell of a job sir.

That just means the most to hear, it is great that you both are getting some use out of it. I think the hollow grind is unconventional on that style but works extremely well... I'll likely stick to that from now on for most.
