Fairly recently I purchased a knife from another seller who would accept PP gift, which I have done with several other members. For some reason inside I added the 4% difference and bought the knife through regular PP. The seller stated he would ship the next day, I asked for the tracking number and he said his wife would ship it the day after that. Two weeks later no knife? No communication. So I opened a case with PP and low and behold the knife was on its way with a tracking number. Which means in the end it took about 3 weeks to turn that deal around. This guy has a lot of positive feedback as well? Well a couple more weeks go by and now he's emailing me to close my case against him so PP will release his funds. Tit for tat baby.

Sounds pretty shady. If you have all of the evidence to back up what you are saying, I would post his name here and let him explain himself. He might not of realized you added the extra 4%. The only way to tell is when you look at your PP statement, gift says "payment from" and goods say "payment for"

He might of been trying to scam you. Let this be a lesson for the newer folks around here, never send PP gift.

Have you made any effort to talk to him in those two weeks? Is so, then he clearly tried to scam you. But if you made no effort to contact him in that time frame then there is the possibility that he might have forgotten about you. Also, i agree in letting him chime in because what you're saying sounds very one sided.

Post up his name to protect everyone else. Also, what feedback did you leave him? If you didn't leave him negative after having to file a claim then you are letting him off the hook too easily and others on here could fall victim to his games.

Expose him and let him come in and explain himself. Also, if I was in your position I would keep the case open for at least 30 days just to teach him a lesson.

If you really want to have some fun tell him you will release his claim as soon he posts an explanation and an apology to you in this thread.
