FAK contest

For the secret contest I have two options. The winner can pick one or the other.

The knife on the left is a NWA one-off. Really sweet knife, but the handle is a bit small for my big mitts.

The knife on the right is a Randall Bird & Trout. Be advised! The top edge on the B&T is sharpened, be sure you can legally own the B&T before you select this as your prize!

Both knives have been used a bit but are in excellent shape. Pick one if you are the winner.

Fun contest. I enjoyed seeing all the entries and got a few ideas to upgrade my kits. I hope you all have a joyous holiday and stay safe in the coming year. But if you don't, hope you have a good FAK with you. ;)

I would argue that there is some virtue in making a FAK easily recognizable with some obvious markings, e.g. red cross, so that in a situation one can find it easily. Or someone else can find and use the FAK to treat you.

No worries. I didn't make it to the Post Office today, so Oregon Fal'er won't get his prize until 2013.
