Nobody really puts this much effort into counterfeiting modern Case knives, the best they do is put CASEXX on generic Chinese slipjoints.
I saw a knife that looked like a Rough Ryder with CASEXX slapped on the blade.
These are definitely real, but have issues I've never seen. Maybe they were factory seconds that somebody is selling for full price ?
I have had good luck with Case and while some sloppy knives can get out, I can't imagine them letting knife #1 out the door.
It's hard to imagine such a flaw going unnoticed.
BTW nickel silver does often turn yellow-ish but in my experience the alloy mix can vary where some will and some wont, I've experienced this most with Rough Ryder and Frost cutlery and never personally on any Case knives that I can remember but have seen it.
