Fake Mnandi?

I think "Mick Tower" is the answer to micarta the crappy translater they used came up with. I see stuff like this all the time in documents I recieve. You get a word that the person can't spell or doesn't know the meaning of so they type in what they think it is in and they get stuff like that as the answer. They are no doubt incabable of proof reading the English translation so just presume it's all good and post it up. As you can see the descriptions are basically rambling nonsense.

Weep not for Mick Tower. For his remains to end up in a cheap knock off is only fitting, as he himself was a poor imitation of a human being...

Looks like they pretty much cloned the whole CRK lineup now! The 21, Regular, Ti-lock, Mnandi..... Well not the Umnumzaan yet. But theyll probably have one made next month.
 
Those are fake. It is not D2 they use on these but 440C they also have a version with better FF and S35VN for a little over $110.
 
I hate fakes and have reported a few to CRK in the past but this description is hilarious.
I love the reference to Chris Reeve as knife industry superman. So obvious, yet has never occured to me.

I must be a novice. I had a mnandi in hand while looking at the photos and still couldn't really see anything that looked out of place. Perhaps it would be easier with the knife in hand, but at that point, it would be too late. This is all moot, however, as the country of origin and incorrect specs, which the horrible, horrible enrigsh in the first two lines prevented me from getting to, are enough of a red flag. I agree that any ebayer should be cautious on those points alone, but again, the knife itself looks to be a very good replica. I hope the seller doesn't find out about translate.google.com...
 
It could be stolen pictures, and then they ship you a fake knife. I cannot tell any difference comparing pictures.
 
What really sucks about the fakes ( other than the blatant stealing) , is when they get resold on Ebay from U.S. sellers.
Then it's not as obvious.
 
Surprised its still up. I wouldn't buy any high end knife , especially if it's US made, anywhere BUT in the US. If I've never heard of the "item location", that's a def no no too lol!

Very true. That's why I only buy crk's from people here on BF, or authorized dealers.

Go to the fake auction, and there's a link under or around the sellers name where you can "report item" it's rather small and non noticeable
 
It may not violate EBay's policies because the seller is not calling it a copy or a clone of the Mnandi. I once posted a Univox Ripper on EBay, which is a Fender Strat copy. Univox was sued and had to stop making them but they are GREAT guitars in their own right. I said Strat copy in my Ad title and they closed my auction for copyright infringement. I reposted the guitar as a Univox Ripper with no mention of "Strat" and it was fine. Notice in the Mnandi ad there is NO MENTION of Chris Reeve or Mnandi? The seller has gotten wise...

Chris Reeve's name is all over the place in that add. Is there another fake Mnandi listed your talking about?
