There is an endura being auctioned elsewhere that has suspect blade markings. One side says Spyderco and nothing else while the other side is marked seki-japan. Fake or no fake?

I'm only familiar with the E4's, mine all have the steel type marked on the same side of the blade with the Spyderco.

if this is the one you are talking about it looks legit to me...its a first generation endura. if it is the other endura on ebay that looks like this one but with a metal clip, that is a first generation and the clip was put on by spyderco. they decided to goto the metal clip because the plastic ones were breaking too easily so that was the transition endura before they came out with the E3. the E2 had metal scales. hope this helps.

thanks tonydahose. i had never seen one with those simple markings until yesterday.i found a knife at an NTSA surplus site that looks exactly like an endura but the handle is 2 1/2 " and the blade is 1 7/8". very tiny

thanks tony. dont know why i didnt look in my catalog. thats what it is. gave $3.00 for it! bought it, one old imperial and 11 SAKs including 3 with alox scales for $47.00. i know these people hated to lose these knives at the airport.
