I recently purchased a 940 from sportsman warehouse and seen that it wasn’t an authorized dealer, knowing sportsman’s warehouse is a pretty large company, I decided to give them a chance. I still am a little worried though and wanted to see if someone could inform or help me know if the knife is fake. I have watched many videos and a lot checks out, but the only way to put my mind to rest is if I got a specific opinion instead of a general YouTube based opinion. Please help, I only have 20 days to return.
(Let me know if you need more pics)

I'm not an expert on that knife, but Sportsman's is a reputable place, and I haven't bought anything from them, including many knives, that weren't the real deal.

Going to need more than just a picture of the pocket clip. o_O I do agree though, they are a stand up outfit, and probably is the real deal.

What I worry about thought, is if someone bought a real one, and returned it with a fake one. I have seen that happen more than once, and is the reason I try and make my purchases locally. That way I can put hands on it, verify authenticity, and get to pick from the litter.

That’s exactly what I’m worried about, because I know they’re a pretty reputable, but I’m afraid someone returned a fake one. They don’t really check their returns, I remember I returned my griptilian and they hardly checked anything. For all they know I coulda been returning a Chinese fake?!

Do a search of the 940 and compare pics to yours. It’s a popular model, finding pics from supporting dealers shouldn’t be an issue.

If you can post up a few more pictures, specifically of the blade markings and both side of the scales and screws, we might be able to give you some insight. The only picture that is showing up is of the pocket clip.

The good news is the pocket clip image you posted, has the parkerize type black finish. It holds up much better than the black paint style finish I have seen on some of the 940's.

A quick look doesn't show any cause for alarm, that and where you bought it being a reputable shop, I'd be fairly confident it was real, far more confident than buying of the big river site.

The knife Is very smooth, it’s able to be spydie flicked open and has a drop shut smoothness as well..
