Fake or Real?

There is a sticky here that talks about generations. I believe it also has images. It can be a resource for those looking for information about earlier XMs.

It's all good, guys. My words were to discourage the continued conversation of fakes. No maker is a fan of them. Nor am I.

For the most part, the fakes are obvious.

I don't think any of are a fan of fakes, and that's why it's a good idea to educate each other on how to avoid them.

We don't discuss them because going into detail can help the "wrong types" better their understanding and can lead to more refined copies.

Apparently we do discuss them, because a mod moved the thread here and left it open.

I do get what you're saying about counterfitters learning, but there's no way to selectively educate.

The thread was relocated in hopes of helping identify that one particular knife.

My words are a kind reminder to not elaborate on the topic of fakes. It's been officially stated that it's not a favorable topic.

Identifying that knife is discussing. Maybe if you leave the reminding to the people who have say in the matter.......

A quote from there that tells a lot. "Scott and nobody else here speaks for Hinderer knives, except for Rick and I. Hammer (Mike Kammer), Ibewno3 (Pete), RDA (Rich), RickV, Scot C, and Rubiconss are friends of ours and we appreciate them having our back day to day."

So it sounds like they can speak very well for themselves. A while back I asked you if you were a mod or had any authority to speak on behalf of Hinderer knives. You said you didn't.......
