If you zoom in on the leather sheath, it looks like it says "Think Twice...Gut Once." Go figure.

It's just par for the course over here. I dislike fake knives and the fake people who buy them with great intensity. I have gladly fallen out with people over their idea that fake knives aren't that bad and should just be accepted. :thumbdn:

What scares me the most is that these guys are getting pretty good at cloning the designs and for someone that doesn't know much about knives and even if they have some basic knowledge, it's hard to tell this is a cheap copy, can you imagine how many people buy them thinking the are the real deal, just makes me sick.

The places that sell real CRKs don't sell the fakes, if you think you found a deal on the usual auction sites or even websites that sell the fakes then you deserve the "deal" you got frankly. You have to be pretty switched off to what's going on to get properly duped IMO. That said there are of course genuine cases of people being taken that were no fault of there own and I feel for those people. That tends to be down to straight up dishonesty though and that is hard to combat.

It has been said 100s of times already but it's worth saying again. Only buy knives from CRK dealers or people that you know from here.

Was only a matter of time. Shame on them for stealing CRK designs and Shame on those that buy them knowing full well they are fakes.

So, I sent a message to the seller of this POS Knife.. Kind of funny really. Here it is:

Dear buddy781105,

This is a copy of a Chris Reeve 25 is that correct?

- mikepapa1
Here is the sellers response:

Hi Friend,
This is not fake, the knife is the agent processing Chinese products.

Apple Corp iphone3-4-5 product is all made in China, do you think that the mobile phone is true? Or a fake?

Best Regards,
Taylor

And my response:

"I didn't use the word "FAKE" but you did. Didn't you Friend!! Well didn't you??

Seems like the government is 100% ineffective in protecting Americans from these fakes, Many, many counterfiet products are allowed to be imported from China, You'd think this would be a higher priority... Oh yeah, It's not politicaly correct to criticize our Chinese "friends" . :Like terrorists being mostly muslim middle Easterners, these copies are Chinese.. Buy from an authorized dealer, or off the forum. I hope that if a forum member unwittingly passes one of these along and it is realized after the fact, it will be made good, Bart

You are absolutely right bart1!! Unfortunately most Americans no longer feel the need to "Buy American" made products...That being said I guess there is a reason for that. A good example of that would probably be Spyderco Knives, from everything I have read and the reviews I have seen on line there best products come from overseas. Of course Taiwan is not Red China and despite the fact we turned our backs on them in the seventies they remain one of our staunch allies, but still not American Made. This is not the correct forum to post politically incorrect ideas so I will end it here. :)
"Seems like the government is 100% ineffective in protecting Americans from these fakes" We are the Government, its time to stop depending on the idiots in D.C. both elected and especially the un-elected bureaucrats.....
ok I will step down from the soap box.

man, it's a very good clone-copy!!! finish is not like the real one (just a feeling from the pics) but its DAMN close, too hard if you don't see the title
even the cardbox looks similar and the papers seem real

damn they're getting very good, too good, head-ache good IMO..

@mikepapa1 I contacted the seller and asked him if the knife came with a bd card as well as original lanyard since the one on the picture is clearly a piece of paracord,to which he responded "yes my friend, you will receive it", so I decided to see how far this guy will take it and sent him a bid for $20, so he sent me a counter offer for $160, I sent him a message again politely telling him that I was well aware thet the knife was a copy not a chris reeve and I wasn't willing to pay the asking price... long story short he was willing to sell the knife for $50, so he went from $160 to $50,that comes to show the obscene amount of money these companies are making ilegally, how bad they are hurting the economy and hard working companies that actually want to offer a good quality product, I understand they need to make a living as well, what is unacceptable is that they are willing to hurt good honest people and their businesses while doing it.
