Fake Sebenza

Oh man that sucks....how can you not tell its fake??440c??stainless steel handle?? lol! & look at the crappy box it comes in. Here is the kicker the bids on the knife will probably go up in the next six days.

Seriously? Don't people do Google comparisons? But my favourite thing about this is this line in the description, "...frame lock with liners. Also has a nice option where you can lock the blade in the open position."

What the hell is a frame lock with liners? And locking the blade open is now an option? Man, CRK just innovates too quickly for me to keep up with nowadays haha.

I reported that fake to CRK and eBay a few days ago.

Looks like it's there until the auction ends.

This guy has 100% feedback record out of 200 transactions, and looks like his past items are not knife related. He states he's selling it for his dad.

Do you think this guy is honestly thinking this is a Chris Reeve Knife? Just saw the stamp/package and googled the name, CRK came up? Or am I being to naive to think the seller is just uneducated with knives and this is an "honest" mistake?

Either way, very sad in multiple levels...

You have to take into account that out of the 200 transactions there were a lot where he was the "buyer". Also the ratings only show within the past 12 months.

The one clue for me that says this was not an honest mistake, is that he repeatedly emphasizes this as a "Chris Reeve Knife". I doubt the box nor the knife would have the Chris Reeves logo/name on it. So this guy obviously know this is a CRK replica. Also by him saying he's selling for his dad, he can just play dumb/point fingers at something else if the buyer confronts him after the sale.

What baffles me is that anyone who is willing to pay the money to buy a Sebenza would know the specs or at least what steel the blade is made out of.

Ebay has a lot of scammers.... and an equal amount of dumb/clueless buyers. I remembered a few years back some guy was selling a "moto gp exhaust" for sportbikes that was basically a $5 pepboys exhaust pipe spray painted in various colors; and people were paying $100+ for it.

I don't know which infuriates me more.... the scammers or the clueless buyers.

I was given one, my friend paid $5 for it and that's all it is worth!!! From a distance it looks "like" a sebenza but up close it looks like a very cheap counterfeit. For $100 one can probably buy 50 of these!!!

I feel bad for the person that wins that piece of crap.....I contacted a subject on ebay selling one of those and told him it was a fake. He had no idea. And he offered it to me for $5.00 plus shipping and I declined.

Looks like the Sanrenmu fake sebbie. I think it bull crap that there making money by copying the sebbies design to the "T" and people still go out and buy those up.

i have reported this fake to ebay i guess we will see if ebay cares about ppl being ripped off by fakes like this

I can buy those all day long at the Haji shops on base here in Afghanistan for $5. The reality is, anybody bidding on that auction is not someone who would pay $400 for a real one, because anybody that would pay $400 for a real one would know that had to be fake at that price.

"Attention:Christmas Eve ,the shipping is very busying !
