Fake SOG?

My apologies. I just have a problem with knives that have been purported not to be safe. if a knife is not safe, then don't care how nice it is, it is a liability. not saying all sogs are unsafe, they just seem to be more than other medium price range companies.

I'm asking about an item I suspect is a counterfeit. If you have nothing to add about the item, please don't bother to post in this thread.

the only remedy for buying real knives is to go thru a reliable dist. pay the money & get the real thing. a boxful of manure at a bargain price is still a box of manure. i never purchase from unknown sites.--dennis

Agreed 100 percent, having said that, I once more declare that the posted pic is not mine but rather from a member of a local(to me) forum who posted it claiming that because it works and that it made nasty cut on his finger that it must be the genuine article. Not being 100 percent certain, I decided to make use of the valuable resource that is this forum.

I have already emailed the picture to SOG to inquire about the authenticity of the pictured item.
