Mike?

I think Bruise is still buying body parts. Might try an email.

Nice purchase. Congratulations.

not any real solace to anyone losing a head, but if one did to that blade, I think you'd have the right to say it was a elegant death, a Kipling end of service.

Congrat, Mike:D Now I need to come up with a way to get my mits on one. One day....

Mike (Ad Astra)

If you get a chance, please post pictures after you receive the Falcata & scabbard. I am especially interested in seeing the engraving on the reverse side of the scabbard. Thanks.

Eric

Good for you Mike! Great blade for a great guy. That's one I still hope to get someday...

Norm

Wow!! Haven't seen one of these for sale in quite a while. Very cool!! Congrats to the lucky owner. :)

Heber

Thanks, guys.

I took a quick look at the HI site, saw "Falcata" number of views "1".

Hit into it, and at the botom it said, "Ad Astra, Yangdu" so I figured I had a chance...

Didn't have an email ready (!) as I've semi-retired my fin.... although I DID get a 14" neem BDC and trisul this year. Mostly using recreational funds to buy cheap rifles  even more fun.

Cust & pasted the DotD into the email, and then I saw "eswartz." Now, Eric there has been building a nice collection lately- everyone has to admit that dragon-carved engraved YCS of his was an awesome snag. The sharks were gathering.

I thought about it, and since I believe karmaically, you only get the ones you're supposed to have, hit "send."

Long time ago, I wanted one of each of the HI's I liked.... all the new models made that pretty near impossible (ask Norm!). The falcatta was the rare crown jewel. Less than 10, I think. Nasty, Ferrous, Seth, John? Heber? I forget. And a beauty recently, maybe Sogguy or somebody snagged it.

However I am content with some few recent events. I'll post about it soon- it's a nice human story and guess what? Almost all the characters in here play a part in it.

I have a lot to be thankful for, least of all this beautiful sword. I was telling somebody today about our rollover accident (Ford Explorer, 4.5x@73mph). I'm glad to be alive. Bonus time in this game- an extra life or two- is especially sweet, and should be celebrated.

Many thanks, Mike

Just yesterday I was looking at my starter collection, thinking "of all the HI knives I've seen, those are the three I wanted to have. That's it. I am content...except...maybe...naw, I'll never see a Falcata again."

Who woulda guessed, the very next day.

Urg.

What a treasure!

Congrats you lucky fella you!
