Falkniven with Bark River Handle

I just saw them a couple days ago, when I ws buying other stuff there. :) I think it's a ood deal for people who don't care for the rubber handles, getting a choice like this.

The undercurrent is that eventually KSF and BRK&T plan on selling kits for the home user to strip off their Fallkniven rubber handles and install their choice of wood, Micarta, ect.

I have an old style Fallkniven A-1 that Mike has had for almost one year. It was part of this project but I am hoping to be getting it back next week complete with a natural canvas Micarta Bark River handle.

:D

The rumor is true...we have been working on handle kits, but the project is a little behind and we are not sure when it is going to happen.

Thanks everyone for noticing the knives...they are great!

I'd LOVE to get my hands on a kit like that, I know that I'd find vastly superior utility in my F1 if the handle was a little beefier for my big paws.

Thank you Derrick for being part of the motive force to improve some great knives. I love Fallkniven but I hate rubber handles. I have a Fallkniven Idun and it is one of my favs. Leather washer handles have fallen out of style but I have always found them to be very comfortable and durable if you take care of them.

I think that's great that KSF is offering Micarta handles...they make a big difference with Fallkniven's F1. Another one is Lone Rider Grips; Greg also makes a nice handle for the kit blades:

I ended up with the lighter colored green Micarta grip and I'm sure the KSF version is very similar in that they both give a little more width to the handle for better handling...a great upgrade to a great knife.
