Normark, You're welcome.

By the way, Peter Hjortberger/Erik, it is a little confusing having one persons name as a Bladeforums nickname and using another name as signature on your replies.

Fallkniven's own neck sheath for the WM1 will be available around April I'm told. As soon as they arrive I'll post their availability and get them to dealers as soon as possible.

Eric/Normark,

Sorry for the confusion.

I have a concealex MCS made by Mike Sastre. It worked out fine and I carry the WMI quite a bit. I have to take a peek at yours. I think the WMI begs for a good MCS. Sorry, the Falkniven kydex is just not good enough though a good option to the standard leather swinger sheath.

I understand what you are saying...
The factory Fallkniven kydex is made the way it is for a reason..

To standardize the sheath and allow as many people to use the sheath as possible...

The same reason a bayonet can be worn either left or right....

The factory sheath,, definately has it's place.. It's just a little limited is all..

That's where I come into play with more of a custom sheath,,with a variety of options. Also having the ability to build a sheath to customer Specs.. If someone wants it covered in Rhinestones... I'll do that as well.. LOL

Have a peek at my Fallkniven AI sheath...

Eric,

Nice stuff.

I guess you're right about the factory sheath and need for standardization. But, I look at what Spyderco did for the Moran Sheath and Benchmade for the Nimravus sheath. Well... I think they could have done better but missed the boat by not taking advantage of the multicarry design potential of this material. Their kydex sheaths are really nothing beyond, well, kydex versions of their leather sheaths.

I agree that the current sheath for the WM1 is not suitable for neck carry that is why they are bringing out a neck carry sheath specifically for it. It should be available in a couple of months. I haven't seen it yet though.

Normark is right about the rather simple and functional styles of the standard sheaths offered. Although the sheaths are very good quality as far as standard sheaths go, Fällkniven's emphasis is on a high quality knife, the fact that you get a pretty good and highly functional sheath at a very reasonable price is a bonus.

The standard sheaths are good quality but those with specific needs really should get a custom or function specific sheath. That's where Normark comes in.
