This hammer-in is held in Old Washington Arkansas at the Bill Moran school of bladesmithing. The cutting comp will be Sunday afternoon sometime...so no winner yet. Seen some interesting knives today...I'll try and get some eye candy for ya tomorrow.

Here's some more.
Cutting comp. was a lot of fun. The events were...2x4...paper cut... Rope cut...swinging gallon water jug cut and apple hanging from a string cut.
The winner was Shawn ellis using the first knife I posted...and second place went to yours truly. I'm stoked! I have pics of that I'll post later.

Mace you very nearly pulled off a win. Congratulations on the second place anyway. That was a fun competition.
Chuck, your cutter did good. That 2 X 4 was hard as a rock. I showed it no mercy and the knife dont hardly look used. It zipped through the rope too. Some of other events kind of tripped me up though.
Can you believe a swinging gallon jug full of water? Almost done it though. If you hav'nt tried it with a 10 inch blade, you hav'nt lived.
Here are the last few from the weekend. Congrats to Shawn Ellis on the win...Brion Tomberlin for the Clyde Fisher award......and Jerry Larrison...who was the winner of the knife that was made over the weekend. I had a great time and picked up some good tips. Now I'm gonna try and catch some zzz's cause my damascus class starts first thing in the morning.
Hope y'all liked the pics.
