Hammer-in at Old Washington Arkansas, home of the bowie knife and the Moran School of Bladesmithing. October 27th and 28th. Rumor has it they are going to auction off a 25# Little Giant. I will post more details as I get them.
for registration information contact: Scotty Hayes shayes@texarkanacollege.edu

Hello Don. I will be there, heard rumors about the little giant also. I know myself, Lin Rhea, Wes Byrd, Larry Harley, and Tim Potier, are supposed to be handling hands on forging. Sounds like a great weekend as usual. Should be getting full info soon. Looking forward to seeing you. Also the cutting competition on Sunday is supposed to be an open one with no restrictions on blade length. This WILL be interesting. Hope to see a lot of people there.

Looking foward to spending a little time down there and visiting with friends.
Can anyone confirm this "no limit" on blades for the cutting comp?
Mace

Hi Mace,
Just got a flyer by email and it is any blade length or type. I will send you a copy.

Thanks Don! Hope I can get a little something together before I head down.
This open division has got me wondering what they have in store for us there.
Do they think everyone will bring huge choppers? ......Then make us skin an ant!;) Tricky...tricky that group!:D
Can't wait!

Hi Mace
your so right, tricky bunch alright. I'm sure there will be some bumps in the road. It will be fun.
Don

Hi Brion,
It's official, the #25 Little Giant and some other shop stuff will be auctioned off.
Looks like they got you busy again this year.
Don

Hello Don. Guess I will have to bring some extra money. Yes Jim Crowell said he was going to work me, and that is great. The more people we get interested the better it is. Besides there is something about forging at the hammer ins, it is a lot of fun. Well back to work, I hear a cutting knife calling my name and some damascus. We will see you there.
