Fall, or at least our version of it, is in full swing in the Florida panhandle. I managed to get away for a few days, spent the last few days down at our camp and also camping out on a creek a few miles away. Thought I would share a few pics.
The Cypress are losing their foilage.

Rufus tagged along to keep me company.

He loves to ride and take it all in.

The cool weather had the critters sunning.

The cool weather also allowed me to get up close to this wasp nest.

These things kinda creep me out when you just happen up on them.

They made Rufus a little uneasy too, he kept an eye on them and just gave them a low throaty growl.

This week is open for waterfowl. Took the shotgun along, and popped a couple of ducks, no call or decoys.

Returning to the camp. You can see the little house in the background, and the screened in kitchen area on the dock, We also have a fish/game cleaning station area over the water.

The dock extends out from there, with more boat stalls on that end.

Small game is also in, lost of squirrels down there. But let them pass, for now.

Nice pics ... thanks for sharing.

That's a great looking bloodhound

Very cool and much different way of life than what I am use to...Thanks for taking the time to share, a place I would love to visit!

How do I get a invite to a fish camp like that??? ;)

Great pics and nice shots on the fowl.

Cool pics. I haven't had duck in a while, must be almost a year now. Need to eat one sometime soon. Hm..

great stuff man... what a cool little camp... i would love to check out the swamp-lands one of these days...:D

great looking dog too... my father in law has a bloodhound...

What a neat place you have there! Great looking dog, too. :)

Enjoy the wood ducks; I think they're the best eating ducks (except for maybe Teal?).

Stay sharp,

Looks like a great day. I love watching the "Snake Birds" Anhinga.

Sweet photos. Thanks for sharing them.

Now, put up something about snakes, alligators, and insects. Save the panhandle while you can. It's too late for the rest of Florida!

Great pics, have ot had any wild duck in years, but got some grocery store duck comin in tomorrow! Thanks for sharing, Y'all have a good turkey day!

I appreciate the compliments, fellas. I went back out yesterday afternoon, managed to bag another duck, so I figured I would include some gear pics, my little boat, Remmy 870 and Sebenza. Also another of Rufus striking a pose.
