Thanks! It's a pattern called "Chexx". (Cute play on XX.) I think it was only available 2005/2006. It's supposed to be a black and red checkerboard like the one in this photo (taken from the internet):Well you get an "Interesting Bone" award. Is that even called jigging? Super neat!
+1 Yes, whatever happened to it was for the better. Beautiful color, interesting and unique pattern... very nice! Thanks! It's a pattern called "Chexx". (Cute play on XX.) ...
I don't know what happened to the black in mine (I got it used) but I like it much better than the black and red pattern. ... the sides are flat, with just the shallow Chexx pattern (laser cut) to give good grip. Very comfortable.
Thanks! Something about the feel of this one in the hand - it just clicked for me.+1 Yes, whatever happened to it was for the better. Beautiful color, interesting and unique pattern... very nice!
That one looks really nice. Is it a Case? It looks like one to me but I'm not familiar with that shield. (I'm also no expert on Case.)Here's another Mini-Copperhead that blends well with fall colors.

Two great knives!!! Who is the maker of that puukko?!
Suck at photos? I don't think so. An old patina blade against faded denim is close to perfection.Ah, if only I didn't suck at photos. Here's an old Catt. "king of the woods" knife.

Yes, the mini copperhead I have was made by Case in 1996. The shield is not one I associate with Case but I'm glad they choose use it, IMO it fits the overall design well. That's one of the reason I had to have it.Thanks! Something about the feel of this one in the hand - it just clicked for me.

I agree - that shield really works well with the knife. I don't blame you for grabbing it!Yes, the mini copperhead I have was made by Case in 1996. As a small knife, mini-copperheads excel and if one has nice bone like yours does, all the better.![]()
