Fall? Please. It's 97°F and 69% humidity. More pretending for me. Good thing I have a fantastic imagination. 😂

But, you get to swim in the Gulf or ocean and walk on almost white sand on New Year's Eve, while some of us are dealing with white stuff of a cold nature

That's the silver lining! The Gulf Stream keeps the water warm all year round and I can swim anytime, though sometimes getting out is less pleasant. I don't know if I could hack the kind of snow I see on here every year but there is something to be said for being able to experience all four seasons. Here, according to my old South Florida Ecology instructor - Professor Machado, we only have two: wet and wetter. Hurricane Helene knows what I'm talking about! 😂

I understand. I grew up near Pensacola and worked Bradenton, Fort Myers and Homestead areas in 2018 thru 2020. Swimming in the Gulf on new Year's Eve is great.
Close storm shutters and batten down. Last night it looked like the panhandle would get the actual storm with rest of the state some rain and wind.
Having lived through blizzards and hurricanes, give me the blizzards. Following one it is not 100+ degrees with 100+% humidity and the swarms of bugs are not present. Also people are not out looting after a blizzard.
Saying stay safe seems obvious but stay safe and keep the powder dry

One of the rare ones and it is amazing . If you bought that one when it came out , I expect that you know that it is Smooth Autumn Gold . I always suspected that somebody make a mistake when mixing the Dyes . Sure is nice to see a photo of one of them again my friend .

Yes, that was purchased during the original run of that knife. That particular image perhaps due to a trick of the lighting made the handle look like it was acrylic or something, but just smooth bone with a light coat of renaissance wax on it. Mike and GEC did a great job on those Northfield barlows. I have that one and one of the single-blade clip point versions. Such perfect knives.
