Thermorun isn't as soft as Kraton, much tougher. It isn't what I would call really hard though, not like the stuff they make Becker handles from. Somewhere inbetween. It can be cut off, and although the resulting thick stick tang can be a little awkward to work around, people do manage. I don't think you could make one fall off by accident

While I reckon that the F1 is perfect for Kydex, the Kydex sheath that you can buy with an F1 isn't all that great, the leather sheath is a lot better.
