SOLD
For sale is a semi custom Fallkniven A1. I am down sizing my collection to fund some new purchases.
Some back story...
Many years ago Fallkniven did a run of A1 knives that where full tang and designed to be finished what ever way you wanted. The normal A1 is a very thick Rat tail with rubber over molding. I ended out finding a blade blank with one of the ugliest handle I have ever seen. I bought it with the intention of having bark river install a new one. Bark river does not offer that service any more though, and recommended Pete Winkler of Cross Knives who installed the handle you see.
Specifications...
The handle is desert iron wood with black G10 liners and brass pins. The blade steel is Laminated VG10. As far as I am aware this was never used. I have not used it for sure, and I don't see any signs of use on the blade or other reasons to doubt what the original seller said. The knife has some minor scratches from the sheath. (You really have to look to see them) Also picture number 2 shows a spot that I think is staining from the sheath leather.
It does come with a sheath, Its terrible though... The retention is very loose and clasp does not fit the handle. (to big) It also smells of cigarette smoke, or maybe it is the leather tanning agent? It would be fine for shipping but if you want to carry it you would have to do some work to it to tighten the clasp or just have a new one made.
Price...
I am asking $300.00.
