Fallkniven F1 or alternative

Ulf Krogstad - The A1 is a wonderful knife and would probably also be my choice if I could "only take 1 with." I couldn't see myself doing that though and would rather take a 4 inch blade for carving/slicing + 8-10 inch blade or hatchet for chopping/batoning. My BK9 is superb when it comes to batoning. Keeping it rust free can be a little challenging though!

I think I'll go with either the F1 or Gunny. Looks like Bark River have some other very decent blades which is making my decision even more complicated...

Either will serve you well. I really like the Bark River line. Look at the Bravo-1, or Bravo-1 LT in 3V. They make rampless versions of the Gunny, and B-1 also.
 
Get a Survive! GSO 4.1 or 3.5. Or for the same money you could a mora and a small axe for chopping.
