I've got enough money for either a Fallkniven F1 or a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 S110V, I can only buy one and would like to hear the communities opinion on which I should get. I like to go hiking and camping but there isn't much time for it until summer, and I already have a few great edc blades (bm griptilian, spyderco delica, etc...) but I don't really have any good fixed blades other than a Mora.

To me it seems simple. The F1 can do things none of the others can handle. If you don't have a fixed blade other than the Mora, the F1 is a good choice. There isn't much the PM2 can do that the two knives you have listed can do.

I'd get the fixie.
I love both of my PM2s but they don't replace my Bradford Guardian 4, or Scrapyard Yardkeeper when I need a fixed blade...

You've pretty much answered your own question. Sounds like you need a good fixed blade knife as you've got the folding knives covered I'd get the F1. Summers getting close.

I'd get the F-1. I had some difficulties get the edge I like with the s110v steel. This steel isn't for me.

Get the one you like more!

TBH, you can probably do quite a bit with a mora already. I'm guessing your needs probably don't exceed that knife, but I don't know, maybe they do. Only you will know from your prior experience.

If you ask me, I'd get a big arsed fixed blade! You already have a decent FFG folder.

Hard to go wrong with an F1. The VG-10 steel is excellent and more affordable than the laminated blades.

F1. If you are in the woods, you need a fixed blade. It's less prone to break, can handle tougher jobs, and your folders can play backup on small jobs.

F1. I would spend the extra few dollars on a Bradford G3 if money was tight. Else, G4.

If you already have good folders I would get a good fixed blade, fill that gap. Then you'll be set. IMO

Thank you for all the replies! I feel like the Fallkniven or a similarly priced fixed blade is the right choice considering I have no real hard use fixed blades and summer is just around the corner, thank you guys for all the input!

Lionsteel m4 with m390 is a great contender to f1.

The para2 is good for most people, I dont like it much sold mine a while back. I also had a f1 and really liked it. You can carry the knife IWB by flipping the sheath over inside your pant and clipping the handle strap over your belt loop... That said I ALSO sold the f1 cause I got a barkriver.

As noted above i would get the f1 in the COS steel its a upgrade and its not much more money. Except its ugly IMO.

Look at the real steel bushcraft knife. Its excellent for a fixed blade and its like $53 on amazon.

For a hiking knife the para sucks IMO as the tip is to delicate and will brake. Mine did, and three of my friends knives also have. Your better off with a fixed blade and a alox cadet or farmer for hiking. Not that you need a fixed blade for most hikes. At best youll want a alox farmer to use the saw to make a walking stick. Check out dutch bushcrafters on youtube they have several videos on the f1 comparing it. I would try to score a used barkriver. Or just get glock knife they rule.

Wow! What are you guys doing with the PM2 in order to break the tip 4 times! IMO you would have to be doing something that it wasn't intended. The PM2 is my go to outdoor folder but I don't abuse it and I always have a fixed blade as well.
