I am thinking about getting an S1 or an A1. I know the knives are laminated VG-10/ 420 J2 and are very thick.
Looking at the photos it seems the convex grind stops at ½ the blade width and then starts into a swedge for the clip.
By my thinking this would make the edge extremely thick and prybarish and not knifelike at all since the convex grind does not have much distance to transition from thick to thin. Or is it a very fast transition?
I have never held a Fallkniven in my life.
I would consider getting a Bark River Gameskeeper II with a five inch blade but it costs a lot more as it is a Limited Edition.
I am posting here because I know Fallkniven is popular on the survival board.
