Looks to be maple.
From the pattern maybe Tiger Maple.Can't say for sure though.

the first is a Jose Diaz, frog leg (soon to be made by spyderco I'm told)
Blade length 3.25 inches, heat treat by peter’s Heat Treating: 154 CM Rockwell 50-60. unused with the usual kydex scratches
about 8" overall, very sharp.
the other is a fiddleback bushcrafter, like new, O1 I believe with ebony over Osage handles. convex grind also very sharp...
