For Sale:
A used but very well taken care of Fallkniven Idun (NL5) - 8 1/2" overall length, 4" Laminated Vg-10 stainless steel blade heat treated to HRC 59. The handle is beautiful stacked leather with a stainless steel guard and aluminum butt. The sheath is black leather - fit for vertical carry.
This knife has been professionally re-profiled (by Daniel O'Malley at BladeGallery) to make the knife a bit less "Ax like". The original thickness of the blade (at the spine's base) was 5mm, it now stands at around 4.5mm - plenty for a good outdoors knife while making it a nicer slicer as well. Knife remains fully convex (again, just slimmed down a bit). The mod has worked out well and I've enjoyed using this piece, but I just got a knife from "Nathan the Machinist" and, as such, will be switching to that blade as my "go-to' outdoor knife.
The knife is razor sharp and the leather handles are still in nice, cared for, condition. Does not include original box.
