I am sold on a Fallkniven A1 for wilderness / survival use. I am located in Vancouver, Canada. Could anyone tell me where I can obtain one? A store where I can walk in and check out the knife will be preferred.

Regards,

I have purchased several Fallkniven's from Westwear Industries in Kelowna.

Paul is a (the) Canadian distributor, but will retail as well.

They have treated me extremely well and the service is bar none.

Basically a mail order/web based business, so I'm not sure about viewing product.

They don't have much of a website yet, but are supposed to bringing a new one on line shortly.

Give them a call and talk to Paul or Natalie @ 1-250-868-0131

Tell Paul that Kevin from Red Deer recommended them, not sure if name dropping will help on the pricing for a single knife purchase, but it can't hurt to try.

Thanks Kevin. Called and left a voicemail for Paul

Hope they can make it work for you. I have found their pricing substantially less expensive than ordering from the US and paying shipping/exchange and sometimes duty. (but I generally buy more than one knife at a time)

Keep in mind Fallkniven slapped on about a 35% price increase effective Jan 01/09

Kevin,

Just spoke to Paul and ordered a black A1. He helped me out with the price after I mentioned your name so Thanks for your recommendation.

Regards,

Paul e-mailed me and said you had ordered a knife.

I have an A1, but only got it a few weeks ago so I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet. Sure has a great feel to it though.

Have you seen the video of the A1 on knifetest.com? A lot of folks don't consider this guys testing legit because he doesn't follow any standard protocol for testing, but he beats the living snot out an A1 and it holds up pretty well.

Me too: Westwear Industries in Kelowna. I ordered two through them. The customer service is good.

I also bought a knife from Paul last spring. The customer service was very good. An initial problem was quickly and fairly resolved.

I am also very happy with the RC4 knife, easy to sharpen. It got a littel rusty when I forgot it in the pack for a weekend with some wet clothes, but I was able to get that out with the sharpener.

Five Stars, and two thumbs up.

I know this is an old thread but is it still possible to buy a fallkniven blade from them?

Have you tried going to the website in the posts above?

Sure, they're still a going concern. Bushcraft Canada, Workwear Canada, its the same shop. Paul is a great guy.

Hey there, thanks for that just checked them out. Most likely going with a stainless steel esee as they have 'em. Maybe fallkniven next time. Appreciate the reply.
