Fallkniven Odin

I have S1, A1 and U2 and love them all. The S1 is very versatile - light and tough knife that cuts exceptionally well especially considering the thickness (5mm) of the blade. I usually take it while trail running or kayaking and feel very comfortable as it is very rustproof and does not take much space in my backpack. A1 is a S1 on steroids, so to speak, and you can see a field test at the noss4 web site (http://www.knifetests.com/page24.html). I recently crossed path with a bear while trail running and grabbing the handle of A1 made me feel much better.

I also have the Busse's Battle mistress (BM) and it is entirely different animal. As previous poster mentioned the design philosophy is different. BM is a heavy bowie that feels like a tank but unless you are a relative of Andre the Giant you will have difficulty using it as a fighter due to its heavy weight (>600gr.). The strong side of the BM is that it has the reputation of an excellent chopper, please see Cliff Stam's review at http://www.cutleryscience.com/reviews/reviews.html for details.
I will probably sell the mistress and buy some of the smaller Busse's models as it is clearly overkill for my needs.

Purely subjective speaking, Peter (the owner of Fallknven) does not make any BS statement and has an excellent reputation. The few things that I dislike about Busse knives is the availability and the impression that there are a quite a few 13 years old wenches that flood the Busse's forum talking about their dolls, using foot long fonts and what I found even more disgusting is that the moderators and company employees seem to encourage drooling and BS. Reputation and behavior of the maker are important for me and it is the only reason I have not bought, for example, any Strider so far.
