I agree try fallkniven for outdoors and game work I prefer the rubber handle. I have a few fallknivens an f1 and an s1 I would look at the S1 it's my favorite and maybe the perfect size knife for anything I really think the size couldn't be better.
S1 ALL THE WAY (but either way fallkniven)
Well, my vote goes for the Ubejane. I have both also and the F1 is too small for my hands. (I plan to give it to my son for Christmas) I do not have the micarta but think it would get very slippery if skinning large game which btw the Ubejane was actually designed for. I grab the CRK and slip it in my back pocket for many of my woods walks as it is very capable in most all tasks that I have used it for. I put an edge on mine using an Edgepro and it has held it very well but then I do not abuse my knives either so... My only complaint with the Ubejane is the sheath, just not my style. I hope to get kydex for it soon. Here is my suggestion, find a like new Ubejane on the forums and use the money saved for a regular F1. I think both can be had for very close to the $300.00 allowance.
