The December release will include the U4 Wolf Tooth folder, a smaller brother to the U2.

And the SK6 Krut bowie style knife with a laminated CoS steel blade and natural curly birch handles. (Cobalt Special Steel)

There hasn't been much info released on the remaining offerings but they will include; the PRK - Police and Rescue Knife, the KK - Kolt Knife, and a new chef knife.

I really wish they would put out some new USER fixed blade designs. I love Fallkniven knives, but a lot of their stuff is too expensive/fancy to use for a guy like me (i.e. poor as hell).:(

Uh oh oh oh oh
If they make a F1 which is 3 mm thick and have the H1 handle and a lefty sheath, I'm willing to pay stupid money for it.
Crap, now I got my self all worked up :(

I was really looking forward to Fallkniven releasing a production knife in CoS steel. The SK6 is a large knife, about the same size as a Fallkniven A1.

I don't really need a user knife of that size, and I'm pretty certain that with the new steel and curly birch handles, it will likely be fairly pricey.

I don't think NA price has been announced yet. (4300 SEK on their website, more than double the price of the A1)

Kinda confused as to the U4.

Seems to me that short of blade is made for the heavily regulated areas (as concerns knife carry), so why a lockback and not a slipjoint?

Still, thanks for the update.

Thanks for the heads up. I thought I was almost through with my Fallkniven rehab program and could live for at least awhile with the Fallknivens that I have. Now I'm getting all jittery again. I have a U2 that I really like so the U4 will be interesting to see. Is anyone familiar with the cobalt formulation Fallkniven uses - what might it be comparable to?

Awesome.

That U4 should excel as a gentleman folder or office folder.

I always carry 2 knives - a U2 (a friendly, non-scary looking knife) and a large knife (usually a Spyderco Military)

Details are still scarce on Cobalt Special Steel.

Takefu lists it under High Carbon Stainless steel. The same category as VG10.

Here is a link to a post with some info I dug up several months ago, but take note MOST OF THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=725074&highlight=pxl+ltd+edition

I found this statement over on the Fallkniven Forum.

It is an observation by Eric, of Fallkniven knives, regarding the performance of Cobalt Special Steel after some hands on use.

Thanks go to Mikael for updating us.

About the new Cobalt steel.

Eric said it's holding an edge better than VG-10,but not all the way up to 3G,wich still is the best steel FK knows of.

It's closer though,to 3G rather than to VG-10.
As the Cobalt steel isn't a powdersteel,it's possible to keep the cost closer to VG-10.

So,the Idea with Cobalt steel seems to be performance close to 3G at quotes closer to VG-10!

gah, as if my fallkniven addiction didn't need scratching soon anyways.

i'd like them to release a 6" chefs knife. i'd buy that.

still looks like either a U2 or a PXL are my next Fallkniven buys.

Same here, and in Laminated CoS.

I'm wanting a CoS blade in the 3 to 4.5 inch range as a user knife to give the new steel a try.

New Fallkys:eek:
Party time:D
What type of tang dose the bowie have?

I haven't seen the tang exposed on an SK series knife so this is just a WAG, but they have a pommel nut and appears it would be similar to the tang on the NL series, which is a full hidden tang.
