I had read that the reason he is selling Fallkniven is because he is sick, I don't own any Fallkniven products, but I hope the guy is gonna be okay.
Onto the Chinese issue, I have no problems with anyone on the basis of their religion or ethnic heritage. While China has made big strides towards capitalism, they are still governed by communist leaders, and those leaders like for things to go their way, by any means. The govt could be run better.
As for Chinese made products, some products that I have bought work better, some are POS. Usually, the Chinese knives that I have bought have been crap, one of the reasons I have not bought the Buck stockmans at WalMart. On the other hand, I got a well made car stereo made in China several years ago at Walmart, and it still lasts in my beater Toyota p/u. It all depends on the level of quality assurance from the company, the skill of the workers involved, and the quality of the machines. BTW, I bought an MTech folder, designed in the USA, assembled in China, and it is my primary truck knife, it does everything. I had the same exact knife, same exact manufacture, and it was a POS. I guess its just luck of the draw for now, but I would expect China to become a good producer within the next few years.
While I still prefer American and Japanese made knives, I might pick up some Chinese made knives in the future.
