"Family Gathering" June 22nd

Real sorry you won't be coming kyturkey, seems like it has been quite a while since we have run into each other, for one reason or another! I will hope for next time! Yvonne and I are still planning to be there! We had planned to bring the two dogs with us but, the more we have thought about that idea, the more we have decided to leave them at home! We are planning to come to have a good time, not dog sit! Ha! Ha!

Our new addition is not trained yet, and is going to need a lot of training before we can start taking her out in public! She's still a baby, and had been running around for quite some time on her own before the dog catcher got her apparently, and they turned her over to a no kill shelter! They shipped her up to Richmond, IL to another shelter, and then put her with a young lady that sheltered her for a few weeks out in Pell Lake, IL, before we came along, and took her, so she has really been through the ringer as far as she is concerned, I'm sure! The problem is she is just so darned cute! I'm sure she will come around but, she has had so many people try to grab her, and poking their hands at her, then getting caught, being put into crates, and shipped! She's really been kind of traumatized from all that! She seems to respond to Yvonne better than she does with me, which is find! Honey was gotten and supposed to be her dog but, ended up being more my dog than hers, so maybe it will equal out some place down the road! We are trying hard though!

Anyway, we are looking forward to seeing all of you on Saturday! You all take care and stay safe!

I absolutely hate like hell to do this but I'm going to have to cancel. I have a concrete patio that I have to get poured. Between the rain and my other jobs, I've been stringing this customer along for over a week. That's just not the way I want to operate my business. I hope you all understand and I'll see ya at the next one
 
Sorry to hear that, now neither one of our Jeffs will be there, we will be "Jeffless!"
 
I`m bringing my Hawk / Knife Set, and my Appalachia Mini for you guys to play with. I told Dave to bring his very, very early Combo Set with black garolite handles.
 
I will bring a few knives to show friends. The DBH is coming along of course.

I will get a variety of sodas today, along with some bottled water since it will be in the 90's according to the forecast.

I will get the girls going as early as I can so we can get up to Channahon around 9.

Do we have the shelter by the parking area, like last time?

That`s the shelter we have, I even paid for a permit to be sure we have it.

Y'all don't have too much fun! ;) If I lived close I'd be there with my wife and little ones!
 
I`ve got 40 hot dogs and buns, ketchup, mustard, and paper plates. Bob and Jeanine are bringing 7 lbs of homemade potato salad, and Becky is bringing a big bowl of her pasta salad, so there will be no shortage of food!
 
I'll be bringing chip's. I was going to ride my bike over but I don't know now based on the looks of things. It probably be kinda hard to fit three big bags of chips into my backpack anyway:D I should be there at 9:30 or 10.
 
Just got home, a perfect day! Slightly overcast, temps around 82, could not have been better! Thanks to all who came, I had a blast!
