Brother Fred and wife, Becky, Nephew Travis and wife, Joni, are arriving tonight for long weekend visit. Monday I fly back with Fred and Becky for two week stay back in SEKS and central MO. Will visit Dad and get pix of more of his handcrafted guitars along with descriptions and post them on the shopping site. Fred's off next week so we'll have time to visit and both of us will go see Dad 3 or 4 times. Lunches, dinners, visits scheduled with 3 of my lifelong pals who are still alive.

When the tornado outbreak in SEKS occured a couple of months back killing about 30 and destroying many homes and businesses (Franklin, KS, small town about 7 or 8 miles east of Brother Fred, is gone now)and one tornado missing Fred's home by 1/2 mile Yangdu decided she did not want to go back to visit that part of the world anymore. For some reason she is deathly afraid of tornadoes.

I'll be answering email, keeping Yangdu under control via phone and email, and making a few posts on the forum from remote computer. You're not getting rid of me 100% and I may even post some special deals from afar to see how it works.

Anyway, things will be not quite normal for a couple of weeks but pretty close.

Are you going to have any specials for today?

*waiting to see*

Hope you have a nice trip!!

You had posted in yesterdays listing that you'd have more for today. I was just looking for what was available!

Will send BAS, 15" or 18" AK, WWII for 1/2 + shipping. Non blems.

Good deals, as always.
Have a great time with your family, Uncle Bill!

Tell Yangdu I'm on her side regarding tornadoes. I've been through numerous hurricanes, including the one that took out Homestead AFB, but tornadoes scare the daylights out of me (my squadron helped out with emergency relief action after the town of Jarrel, Texas got wiped off the face of the earth by an F-5). Sooooo, enjoy your trip, but promise you'll exercise good situational awareness of where the closest storm cellar's located.:D

Sarge

I grew up in tornado alley and am used to them. I generally sleep thru them and if I hear one is on the ground when I'm awake I chase it.

Have a safe trip, no rush back! Family is more important and time spent is never long enough

I'll stick to my earthquakes

*gets this image of Uncle Bill chasing a tornado with an Ang Khola*

Have a safe trip, Uncle, and leave those twisters alone for goodness sake!

It's good to see you taking time off to be with family. From what I have seen, over the years you've paid your working dues many times over - it's now your turn to spend time for yourself - enjoy the break Bill.:)

Have a good trip and be safe!! :)

Tell Yangdu that's ok by me - Bak, down here in Hawthorne told me about surviving one monsoon in the Bengal region, near Bangladesh but over the border in India. Fortunately the roof of the second story was laid out with 3 or 4 foot high walls and served as an open balcony on top of the building. The monsoon floods nearly reached the ceiling of the second floor. That scares me like tornados do Yangdu.

But then we do have tornados in Nevada, per the weathrman.
