Famous knife knuts

There are a bunch of celebrities that are fan of William Henry knives, not sure if they are serious collectors, or "Knife nuts"

Luke Bryan-musician
Joe Mantenga-Actor
Zac Brown-Musician
Peter Facinelli-Actor
Jaimie Alexander-Actress
Trevis Fimmel-Actor
Joe Pantoliano_actor
Matt Goss-Musician
Billy Gibbons-Musician

I don't recognize some of the names, but did recognize the picture of the person

William Burroughs was another collector of note, here he is with a Ruana Bowie (Model 30) that always caught my eye-

.

There are others with him playing with kukris, Japanese nata axes, etc....

Many years ago, when the E Channel was just starting out, they had a half-hour show where an E Channel reporter would go around to various Hollywood events and ask celebrities random questions on the fly. I remember that one of the questions that they asked various celebrities was "What one thing do you always have with you?". Peter Coyote and Sam Elliot both answered "A knife".

Personally, I have zero interest in the lives of celebrities, but I can respect anyone who appreciates the value of a knife.

I wonder if Peter Coyote carries a Randall Model 14 in a shoulder rig...

:D

I just think it's interesting to find out someone you would never expect, like some random pro skater, or a rapper, or something, is really into knives.

Like, wouldn't you be a little amused to learn that Kobe Bryant is seriously into Benchmade knives...?

Keith Richards was known to carry Spanish ratchet knives. He did a collaboration with Emerson to produce a homage. I think it was called the "gypsy jack" or something similar.

Yes, the Emerson Gypsy Jack. Based on the knife that Keith Richards carries. It's a large 4"+ blade.

Keith Richards was a fan of the ring pull folders back in the day, I remember an article about him spending time in Jamaica, and learning his way around Okapis from the locals-

.

While not sure if it classes him as a knife guy, Dee Dee Ramone was a big fan of the ubiquitous 1970's 007 knife, and would give them out as gifts sometimes. As an aside, a Jaguar K-11 007 copy was also the knife used in the whole Sid and Nancy drama.

Joel McHale, star of Community and host of The Soup is into knives. I dunno how high end he goes, but I know he has several of the Cold Steel polished Espadas, and a couple of swords as well.

There's a video of Ashton Kutcher whipping out his Emerson, wave and all. One of the hosts on the show he's on exclaims "Oh! A Benchmade!" and Ashton corrects him that it is an Emerson. Gave me a lot more respect for the guy.

TNK had a custom 1 of 2 Gypsy Jack up for sale a while back. It's twin belonging to Johnny Depp.

There's an episode of Man vs Food where Adam Richmond pulls out a CE DLC Military when he's checking out some oysters.

I was pleasantly surprised to see skateboarding and knives, my two loves, come together on the Instagram today.
Post is from a few weeks ago, but I just saw it today.

Now that I know one of my favorite skaters shares a love of knives, I'm curious, any other "famous" knife fans out there that we know of....?
(Yes, I've seen the video of Angelina playing with a balisong on Conan...>_>)

Glad to see a fellow skater on here! Chris is the man. You'd be surprised how handy an edge tool is out on tour.

I understand that Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers is into Bushcraft and must use knives. He is the player of Samoan descent who is noted for "big hair".

It doesn't provide any real details or anecdotes, which would make it more interesting. I like knowing that Adam Savage is a fan of Bill Harsey, CRK and Spartan. But I want to know what knife Hugh Downs is carrying. I'm guessing a Randall, from his time as a young(er) Vietnam War-correspondent. If he actually was a Vietnam War-correspondent. And Judge Ito. Nice.

Here's one of those DDR Customs owned by Tyler. Or Perry. Or Tyler Perry.

Ray Liotta, way past naptime and looking cranky as he brandishes an Emerson.

Debbie Harry of Blondie use to stop by the New York Custom Knife back in the day, I remember a photo of her being smittened by some of Gil Hibben's more fanciful knives back then.
