Fancy Folder Pivots?

I have been looking into making a slip joint and some frame lock folders. On some of the customs that I have been seeing I have seen some nice "fancy" pivot faces. However, I haven't really seen anything like the pivots on Rexford knives folders or Elishewitz folding knives out there to purchase; like (the little star bit with some design around it or the flat face with the 4 or 5 little holes around it.)

I was wondering if those are made by the maker or can pivots be purchased like that?

I really didn't see anything like them on USAknifemaker but saw something close on Alphknifesupply.

Most of the time, those pivots are done by the maker.

Nothing a mill and a Rotary plate couldn't handle. :D

Steve Kelly is a very well known custom maker and a nice guy to boot. He sells some folder parts that he makes at Montana Knife Supply.

Also, check knifekits. They sell a variety of pivots and screws.

I often take a stock screw and file work it to make a fancy pivot screw.
