So...I've been through at least 3 other grinding jigs and none of them worked for me.

I just received my Contender Works Jig with both size Magchucks and I could not be happier!

Finally, a jig that makes it super simple to remove the blade, flip it around and work on the other side!

I am able to put my blade in a carbide holder and then attach it to the Magchuck plate and go to work.

With the blade attached like this I am finally getting the plunge on both sides of the blade perfect!

Worth every penny!

I am happy you have posted this! Thanks! A new Contender workrest system was installed just two days ago on my old KMG and the long table has made me know I'll try a jig eventually. Darren makes nice stuff. The endorsement that it works well is important.

Thanks, again. Hope it is your last jig.

I'd love to see a video of it in action if you have time...

I first tried the OBM Grinding Jig and then the TR Maker. I could not get consistent plunges because you had to remove the knife in a lengthy process to do the other side.

I like to be able to flip the knife back and forth as I'm grinding so I can keep the grinds even. The Contender allows me to easily remove the knife and flip it back and forth.

I have the blade clamped in a carbide file guide which rests right up against the edge of the jig. I just work one side then release the Magchuck, flip the knife around and work the other side.

Is this still available?

Looks like a great bevel jig! The ability to quickly and easily flip the knife from one side to the other is a real plus. I have a few jigs already but I may have to consider this one. Thanks for posting.

Tip - Add a foot switch to turn the magnet on and off. That keeps both hands holding the knife.

Stacy, the bevel jigs and heatsink use mechanical switchable magnets rather than electro magnets. There is a knob that turns them on and off.
