Some photos from the new location of home and office. Some friends on another forum wanted to see pics from the new homestead, so I thought I'd share them here as well.
From the dirt road we now live on the day I got here when I cam up to work on the house.

The Lady that lived here for the last thirty years was getting on in years and moved in with her son. I am going to remove part of her ramp, but leave part of it and add a section of deck on to it. I like it, it reminds me of a pier.

The front steps, the well, and the LP gas tank. Also the new electrical service which was part of the work that had to be done, along with repairing the electric system in the gas furnace that was damaged by the faulty electrical service.

View from the deck

The work shop (formerly the garage) and the new gate I put in

Life living on a dirt road in rural farm country

The back side of the house, where I will be adding an addition with another bedroom, and a mud room among other things.

There are grape vines, two apple trees, and two pear trees...which I must learn a good deal about in order to do some maintenance on as they have been let go for a while now. The little one loves just being able to pick and eat an apple.

There is a stream with trout in it that crosses the land

There are new wild plants for me to study here as well, like the wild cucumber that I am told is inedible but was used by native americans to make medicines which has my interest.

Oh, and yes the knife in these photos is the new Recluse
I have been cleaning up my rifles and shotguns, soon I will be back to hunting again, yaaaaaay. I love how it matches the other two Fiddlebacks I use the most, but has a bit more belly for skinning.

Lots of wildlife here. My daughter loves watching the rabbits and deer, and playing with the frogs

I have noticed what seems to be a healthy honey bee population, not sure if these are feral or if they belong to someone in the area, but the garden should do well next year.

There are lots of Amish stores, fresh vegetable stands, and orchards in the area.

The kitchen is bigger, has more cabinets, and more counter space than I had before. I LOVE that! The new kitchen was christened with a huge pot of fresh vegetable soup two days after I first got here and found a large stock pot at a local store, and the a pan of checken and dressing a few days later.

Last night I was working using the lap top sitting at the dining table in front of the ope windows. I was much enjoying the breeze and the more seasonal weather. After days of 94F/34C it felt great to me. As for the missus, I think it sent her system into shock and she grabbed a blanket

Well, that's a look around at things here. More to come as projects I have planned progress. There is much to do here and much that I need to learn...as well as much I need to purchase like a new pressure cooker and lots of canning jars for jams and preserves. I am afraid I am getting such a late start on it this year that I will miss much of it, but will study a lot over the winter.
