I just got a letter today from A.G. Russell. Paul has decided to retire and Amy has decided it's time for a change. They will be missed in the world of custom knives.

Thanks for all you've done for me in past years Paul and Amy.

Hate to see them go !

Wish them good fortune in their new endeavors ! ! !

Amy and Paul sure are fine folks. I hope we still get to see them at shows now and then.

Best of luck on their new ventures.

It was amazing to me how fast Paul bounced back after his illness a whlle back. What a wealth of information that man has. I think it would be safe to say that Paul has forgotten more about knives than most people know. I hope both he and Amy enjoy their decisions.

Even though he has retired I have a feeling that Paul will continue to be part of the knife community. I am sure we will continue to hear from him in the future. Enjoy your retirement Paul. I know that I read that you used to ride a motorcycle, if you still do, this sounds like a good chance to get lots of riding in. I also want to wish you the best of health.

Good luck in your new endeavours Amy. I hope everything goes really well for you. It sure would be nice for you to continue to take part here. I really feel that you have much to offer here.

Paul and Amy - no they can't do that. Good folks, as good as they come, friends, respected and they don't come any better. I sincerely hope to see them at shows again.

Two of our favorite 'knife folks', two good people that have pointed us towards the higher road of knife collecting righteousness, people that were there when we needed a friend or advice, two people that we'd gladly open our home to; two of our friends...

Amy, Paul; Edna and I wish you well, thank you for your past support and advice, and hope to see you both at a knife show near us soon!

Godspeed, and God Bless!

Buds,

Shel & Edna

Wow! I remember meeting Paul in 97 at a NYShow with AG Russell soon after that he annouce that Paul will be his buyer.

Time Flys. Amy never met her but she responded back with my reply with cutting edge.

Semper Fidelis to both these people.

What a way to warm the heart! Thanks to you all. The biggest fear--feeling lost without having knives in my hands all day. The biggest hurdle--missing all of you. The biggest positive--maybe I'll actually have time and energy to cruise the forums now!

Anyway, thanks to all of you who have made the past ten years so wonderful. I wish I could say goodbye to each of you personally.

All the Best,
Amy

I've bought and sold many knives with Paul over the years. Talk about a guy who knows knives! He'll be missed at all the shows.

Amy Hincman and Paul Bausch have been part of the knife world for many years. The knife business changes every day, but good people and good friends stay the same. Truly; two people with class. The best to you both. Mike Williams

The first knife shows I went to in the early '80s..........Paul was always there with the most fantastic knives on his table....it was a treat to talk to him, he knows a lot about the custom knife industry.

Hey,
Everyone here at Muller Forge wants to wish the very best to this fine pair of knife people. Everyone at A G Russell has been the best to us and these two are the best of the best. Amy and Paul have been a source of information, inspiration and sometimes even cash for us. Amy, knock 'em dead! Paul, enjoy retirement, which Pat says is the best job he ever had! Thanks for your dedication, to both of you.

Amy Hinchman is the reason I buy knives from the internet or mail order. At first I was reticent to purchase knives I had not held or inspected but sometimes it can be a long time between shows. I found her to be so completely honest about the condition of the knives she offered, and so knowledgeable about knives in general that I soon learned I could purchase with complete confidence a knife I had not personally inspected.

Amy, stay with the knife world. We need people like you.

Reading about the impending "departures" of Amy and Paul and the suspension of the catalog were like hearing of a death in the family. Though I am a fairly new and small-tme customer of AG and CE, I have had only positive experiences with them, and since our first email, Amy has seemed like a friend more than a representative of a business.

I have often joked that I would rather read a Cutting Edge catalog than one from Victoria's Secret! The only silver lining I can see is that everyone else I have dealt with or spoken to there has been unfailingly polite, friendly, and helpful, so perhaps we will eventually recover from this loss.

I wish you both all the best, and you will be sorely missed.

I meet Paul in the 80's at a Gun Show, he had a great table of knifes and his prices where very good indeed, what got me was my son bought a knife from him and he treated him like a King, gave him a great deal and told him the one he was interested it before he bought it wasn't a good knife and the one he ended up buying cost less then the one he asked about, from then on at every gun show we went to my son would always look for Paul before he bought a knife from anyone else, great guy for sure.

I bought a custom knife or two from Paul over the years and it was a great to deal with such a gentlemen every time!

Amy was a big help to me when i was interested in any knife from The Cutting Edge, i will miss her for sure.

James
